FAO Headquarters location

The FAO Headquarters is located in the city centre of Rome near the Circo Massimo and close to the Colosseo. It's a big white building easy to recognize.

Building passes are strictly personal and should be visibly worn at all times within FAO. If a building pass is lost, duplicates could be granted only after reporting the loss to Rome Police.

Services at FAO Headquarters

Bank: BancaIntesa, located on the ground floor of building B, changes hard currency. The bank hours are 08:40 to 16:30. There are also Automated Teller Machines located on inside the FAO (ground floor) that accept international bank cards.

Post Office: Located also on the ground floor of Building B. The hours are 08:30 to 15:00. 

Bookshops and Stands: The ground floor of Building B hosts a newspaper shop where Italian and foreign newspapers and magazines can be bought and where city bus/metro tickets are sold. A bookshop sells English and French publications, stationary and postcards. In the lobby area, FAO publications are sold and collectors items such as commemorative stamps, medals and clothing.

Photoshop: Located on the ground floor of Building B you can buy file and develop your photos (takes about 3 days) and purchase other camera items.

Pharmacy: Provides essential health items. Located on ground floor of Building B.

Wireless internet: Available in the Atrium and in some meeting rooms. Login information: username: visitor, and password: connect2web

Internet Café: Computers and a printer will be made available for participants, free of charge. Check on site for locations. 

Travel Agency: The Summertime Travel Agency is open between 09:00-12:45 and 14:00-17:00.

Medical Services and Emergencies: Hours from 08:30 to 17:00 in B162, tel: 53400.

FAO Restaurants and Bars

Within the FAO buildings there are three coffee shops, a cafeteria and a restaurant. These facilities only accept Euro cash. No credit cards are accepted.

  • Polish Bar: Coffee shop located on the ground floor of building A. They serve snacks and light meals. Hours from 07:30 – 17:00.
  • Blue Bar: Coffee shop located on the 8th floor of Building C. They serve snacks and sandwiches. Hours from 07:30 – 13:00.
  • Cafeteria: Self-service restaurant located on the 8th floor of Building B. They serve entrees, pasta, grilled meat or cheese, salads, deserts and drinks. Hours 12:00 – 14:00.
  • Casa Bar: Building D ground floor. Salad and light meals.
  • Restaurant: Located on the 8th floor of Building C. They offer a complete ‘menu of the day’ or ‘a la carte’ menu. Hours 12:00 – 14:00. Reservations are required (extensions: 54268 or 56823).
